Yarn Store Visit: Bellwether Yarns, Leeds UK

Updated: Feb 11

On a work trip, I explored Leeds in the UK for an hour or so before my train. I made my way to a yarn store I saw online called Bellwether Yarns. It's in the Leeds Corn Exchange which is a very impressive building.

It took me a while to find the shop since there were so many cute little shops crammed in. Eventually, I found it, hidden behind the stairs. It's quite a small space but they had some beautiful yarns. I was in a bit of a rush so I wasn't able to look for too long but quickly grabbed a hand-dyed skein. It is a 75% superwash Merino, 25% Nylon yarn in the colour "I Love Ewe". It is so beautiful, and they had a couple of other bases and colours to choose from.

The woman working there was busy labelling more skeins to display at the time. She was very friendly and we had a quick chat about my plans for the yarn (....socks???!). To be honest, it was an impulse buy so I didn't have much in the way of plans! I just couldn't help myself. This was a nice place to visit and there were also some hand-knit items from Katie M Makes for sale in the shop next door. Check it out if you ever find yourself at a loose end in Leeds!
